Ingredient Spotlight: Floradapt proBio-65® Lactobacillus sakei

Lactobacillus sakei is a lactic acid bacteria strain isolated from traditional Korean fermented vegetables, kimchi. 

A range of bacteria are involved in the kimchi fermentation process, with Lactobacillus being one of the major species. Of the various strains of this bacterium, Lactobacillus sakei proBio-65®, exhibited the most potent inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus growth in preliminary experiments. It also induced immunological and clinical improvements in both human and animal studies.

Results from a double-blind, randomized clinical trial suggest that L. sakei proBio-65®-containing emollients provide improvements in skin barrier function as well as positive immunological effects against atopic dermatitis.

Our PawBiome® Balm is manufactured in the USA with domestic and imported ingredients in an FDA-registered GMP facility.

We wanted to avoid using plastic in the packaging of this product, so we opted out of a screw applicator. To administer product, simply push up on the bottom of tube to expose balm. After application, gently tap the bottom of the tube on a counter or table for balm to retract and replace lid.

    This balm is DA-Bomb!

    We have been using this bomb on my bulldogs nose for less than a week and the difference is simply incredible! We are going to need to find him a new nickname as we used to refer to him as “Mr. Crispy” due to his chapped nose…. I don’t think we can do that anymore!!! What a great product - Thanks, Ferapets and Pupfluence for the introduction!!

    athletic dog must have

    This balm keeps my dog's paws moisturized. I like to go on 30 -40-minute walks with my golden retriever that is why I like to make sure her paws are protected and in good shape. There was a time that her paws were super dry and there were little cracks but this is my secret to avoid all of that. I use it daily.

    Very useful!

    We really like this product! Our kitties go in outdoor adventures often. They get their paws dirty often which require constant washing! This leads to dry paws so this balm has been really helpful in keeping their paws nourished. We also use the balm on any hot spot they may get from over grooming sometimes.

    Organic & clean!

    Love this stuff! I love the organic all natural ingredients. My dog just got stitches out and we have been applying it to his scars. They look fantastic and have been healing beautifully. Fantastic stuff!
